2nd - 5th June 2012 - Diamond Jubilee Bank Holiday

60 years of The Queen's reign

To mark 60 years of The Queen's reign the Diamond Jubilee will take place in 2012. The celebrations will centre around an extended weekend in 2012 on 2, 3, 4 and 5 June.

The Queen came to the throne on 6 February 1952 and her coronation took place on 2 June 1953. She celebrated her Silver Jubilee (25 years) in 1977 and her Golden Jubilee (50 years) in 2002

At the Alyn we will be celebrating by decorating the pub, and serving some Traditional British Dishes, hopefully the British weather will not let us down and you can enjoy some tea, and a good old fish and chips in our lovely outside seating area.

June 17th 2012 - Fathers Day

Treat the man that means the most to you this year with a delicious sunday roast at the Alyn.... with our a la carte menu and a 'dads favourites' specials board and a good selection of real ale what more could you want for him.

4th July 2012 - American Independance Day

After the huge success of our Australia Day back in January, we thought why not celebrate with our fellow Americans on their important day too!

We are in the process of creating a menu with all things American in mind....... huge portions and incredibly unhealthy tasty dishes, with all the ice cream floats, root beer and milkshakes you can wash it down with........ any ideas??? Let us know by posting on facebook!!
